First Quarter 2017 GONE #IRL

With my little titties and my phat belly

I could take your man if you finna let me

It's a guarantee that he won't forget me

My body little, my soul is heavy...

For me, 2017 come in pretty chill way. I did not do anything major for New Year's Eve. Simply laid in my bed with a glass of white sangria (yes, I know it's Winter) and watched Netflix. I have accepted the fact that I have reached "Official Adult" status where my Friday nights consist of my Raiders blanket, Kivik sofa, and Comcast. It's fine. No one tells you as a child that adulting is challenging and sometimes draining. Naps are lovely rewards that I did not appreciate as a child but now look forward to as an adult. Life is good. I cannot really complain.

Lent started March 1st. I had some ambitious goals that by day 2 were completely thrown out of the window. This year, I decided to eat a plant-based diet, save at least $50 bucks each pay period and log out all social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat. I have been doing well, I will say so myself. There was one time I went to the sushi bar and had salmon tartare. It was gross. Serves me right. Removing the distractions from my life, I have noticed that I miss writing and have returned to write morning pages. Also, my creative energy is positive and abundant. I am currently on a New Media Journalism adventure and look forward to the experiences in the future.

Golden Gyals Podcast is an exciting creative outlet. And the music. I have been listening to music like crazy. I finally broke down and subscribed to Apple Music. I purchase music that I hella love while streaming the rest. I have made new discoveries in artists born after 1989 (something about this anime rap that is catchy yet annoying at the same darn time). I am currently blasting Princess Nokia's Tomboy #NewThemeSong. I lifted my head for a second and realized the first three months of 2017 went by quickly. There are still nine more months of adventures left. Nine, my favorite number, represents wisdom, initiation and mystical knowledge. Speak positivity, productive and abundance into the Universe.

Until next time... *besos* L.A.
